Ok, I went to the specialist last night for my checkup. I go every week now to the maternal/fetal specialist. Anyway, we had a sono and all I can say is my little girl is GORGEOUS! She has these full set of lips, adorable.
Anyway, back to my question? They hooked me up for fetal monitoring and they told me I was having mild contractions about 4-6 minutes apart. The thing is, I wasn't feeling a THING???
Does anyone know what this means?? BTW, I will be 35 weeks tomorrow. _________________

I remember I was all excited around that time when the nurse said I have having contractions, until my doctor told me you have mild contractions the whole time you are preggo. I think the bigger indicator that you are getting closer to labor is dillitation and effacement.

Omg - I don't care if it is supposed to happen the whole time you are pg - that is exciting!! They could be EFFECTIVE contractions and that's what counts!! It gives me hope that maybe I'm having some too!!
When I was around 29 weeks I had an episode that I went to the hospital for as a precaution and they hooked me up to the monitors for about 2 hours and I did not have ONE single contraction... so I don't how true it is that you have contractions all the time while you are pg....

So how did it go?? Good news? Are you progressing at all? I'm not... I went for my 36 wk appt today and I'm not dilated or effaced at all. I hope you did better!

No. Neither am I.
He did an internal (OUCH), are those suppose to hurt that much? I can't even imagine how I am going to go through labor.???
Anyway, he said i am not dilated and my cervix is closed tight, but he did feel the baby's head....

yes, I did! :) I don't usually come on her anymore (no time). But I had a little girl on the fourth of July. Her name is Ava Rose. My sister posted pictures. Do a search under the name livinnsin. That is my sister! :)
