My 'DUH' moment (repost from '06 board)

So I was checking out ring bearer pillows. One for my nephew and one for FH's nephew. We thought we'd symbolize him entering my family by my nephew carrying his ring and his nephew carrying mine.

The lady proceeds to tell me that the ring bearers don't actually carry the REAL rings on the pillow!

Now, I admit, I am blonde, but I didn't know this!

I knew the Best Man carried them, but thought that happened when there wasn't a ring bearer.

loved the blonde comment, its great when we can make fun of ourselvres
yes the best man carries them but i have heard of ring bearers really carring them
i even saw an episode of some wedding show on tlc where the dog carried them up,
but i guess its safer to have the best man carry them

My nephew carried the actual rings for my sister's wedding (his aunt too)...he was about 10 years old at the time and he actually asked my sister if he could. She thought it was a great idea!

hey date twin!

yeah, i totally thought they carry them as well. what's the point of the pillow if there's no ring? don't you tie the ring to the pillow- that should be safe? except if they fall the pillow goes flying and ring nowhere to be found, hehe.

98 days baby!!!

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought! What's the point in a ring bearer if he's not carrying the rings!?!? So weird.

I think I trust our nephews more than the best man
