So I changed my license at the DMV two weeks ago. I got the license in the mail yesterday and I notice 'somthing' wrong. It took me a while to figure it out but my STREET NAME is spelled wrong! I totally didn't catch it on my interm license while I was at DMV. I'm so mad! Now I'm wondering if my registration & title are wrong too ... GRRR. I just emailed DMV to see if they can correct it without me having to go back.

It's big if I have to go to DMV for 3 hours AGAIN ...
If they can fix it over email then it's not a big deal ... but you cnanot drive around with an incorrect drivers license

I thought of that but I think then what if I get into an accident or have to get on a plane or travel out of country ... if all my documents don't 'match' can't something happen? Like get a ticket or not be let on a plane or something?
I mean for right this second it's OK, but I'm just thinking about legally what can happend if I keep it wrong. The thing doesn't expire until 2010 now ... it's a long time to have it wrong!

well the DMV website said that if your license comes in wrong and the information is inncorrect they may be able to replace it for free. So I filled out a form online and am waiting to hear if they'll correct it. I have to go home and check my registration & title too now.
I'm just so mad at myself. I was there for so long and by the time I got up there I was all annoyed and just rushed through it. I should have caught the error ... just a waste of 3 hours!

You can go to the express motor vehicles on 34th street between 8th and 9th Avenue. I went there to change my name on my State ID. I forgot the hours though.

Just to Update:
I filled out an online request form for the DMV. They have responded through email that the address has been corrected and they are sending out a new Driver's License in the mail. thank goodness.
