My e-party review!
We had our engagement party on Saturday, and it couldn't have gone better!! I only have a few pics of the details in my album, will let you know when my mom sends me some pics of the party!
Maybe I've been lurking on 'the bride's review' too much lately (LOL) but I wanted to give reviews on catering/cake especially in case other girls need either! Sorry if I'm overboard on this but was just too excited. hehe
Weather - A++++
Oh my gosh, I was so nervous that it was going to rain, thunderstorm and/or pour during the party, the forecast kept saying 30% chance of rain. That's pretty good odds but I was still terrified the night before. We ended up having a beautiful day, with clear skys, temp in the 70s with a nice breeze and low humidity till the end. FH's mom was definitely smiling down on us, we know she had something to do with it!
Location - My parent's house/backyard/pool A+
We had plenty of space for our 80 guests between the rented tables/chairs under the tents on the grass and the chairs/tables we have out by the pool. The guests fully utilized the whole space and at the end of the night our friend stuck around to go in the pool! (only the children swam during the party, just as I expected/hoped!)
Catering - Ivaronne Brothers BBQ A+
The food was sooo delicious, all the guests commented on how good everything was, especially the BBQ chicken and the mac and cheese! The staff were very professional, polite and organized! I definitely highly recommend them!
Cakes - Swan's Bakery (Patchogue) A+
My mom ordered two cakes - one with chocolate cake and pudding with whipped cream frosting and our proposal picture from Disney printed, and the other was vanilla cake and pudding with whipped cream frosting and one of our engagement photos! Delicious and the pics looked great!

The sparklers worked very well, were shipped promptly and safely and packaged neatly.
The matchboxes we ordered at first I loved the colors, fonts and symbol, but it was off-centered. I emailed CS and they sent me a new box no questions asked and no charge, but the the placement was only slightly improved. At that point I didn't want to be too picky, though. The other reason they got a B+ is that they were somewhat difficult to light, not enough friction on the side of the box.
Everyone, especially FH and I, had a blast and we ended the night with a fire back by the pool, and lit sparklers and ran around with them at 2am! haha I'm still recovering from the late great night. :)
