My engagement party!!!! With pics!!!
We had such a great time last night!
The food was great, the music was awesome, and everyone who rsvp'd showed up!
The night went by so quickly - I can imagine that's exactly how the wedding goes too!
We had Frank from FM as our dj and he was awesome! We had a little scare - his lights broke so he had to get new ones before coming - he got to the place at around 6:45. Not a huge problem, he set up quickly and no one even knew he was running late! The dance floor wasn't too crowded at first but as the night went on, it filled up. He played a good mix of music, songs we had requeted earlier and music he chose. We ended up doing an extra hour and we played freestyle and 90s bar music and had sooooo much fun!
We got the food catered from an Italian deli in College Point and everyone ate a lot! It was really great, but we knew that already - we've used them for all of our parties!
I dont have any pictures of the tables but everyone loved all the decorations. I bought potted tulips, daffodils and hyacinths and wrapped a bow around the pot and then put little butterfies on sticks in the pots. People took them all home - including the two I had set up near the dj that I wanted to take home!
My advice to anyone having a party - if you want to take something home, keep it close to you! Apparantly, people go nuts for potted plants!
Everyone loved the bottles of wine and we have a ton of extra bottles - hey, that's okay with me!
To everyone who recommended the Whistle Stop bakery after my cake debacle - THANK YOU! It was soooooooooooo good!
Okay, here are some pictures from the night. My appologies for not knowing how to add more than four to each post!
