My Future SIL (she doesn't know it but 4th of july my future BIL in proposing) did a trial of the cake she is bringing to our engagement party. She's making 2-3 of them and we will have other desserts too.
Our theme is tropical/beach. We are going to get sugar to put around the trays so it looks like sand.
Our favors are plastic summer cups (ones you keep not throw away) I picked up at target. We are going to put lemonhead candies in them, a sugar straw and then the recipe to our signature drink 'Lover's-ade' (it's the recipe for Key West Lemonade). I'll have to take pictures and post them when I return :)
I'm starting to get excited now that the party is this Saturday!

Oh my gosh LOVE the cake!! We debated doing a tropical theme since we got engaged on the beach in Mexico. You have perfect weather for your theme also!!! Have a great time!

Thanks I love it too.
Now I'll just have to think of something good to make them for their eparty (when it happens). Boy is it hard to keep this secret from her, but I don't want to ruin it!
