My Eparty Was yesterday (w. Pics)(semi long vent involved)
Well the party went well..although my day did NOT start off well. The night before i couldn't get any sleep because of my sinus'... i was soo congested and had the worst headache..and by the time i got meds it was already late. When i finally got up.. i decided to go around the corner to get my hair done.. BIG mistake. I explained to the lady that i wanted loose curls NO ringlets.. i look like im 12 with them.. well she set my hair in rollers.. and i asked if it would be quicker and easier with an iron.. she hardley spoke english but the lady that did said it would fine.. So now my head is under the dryer.... BURNING from the metal clips holding the rollers..which i told the lady.. she said it has to dry.. so i kept taking my head out for a break. It didnt curl right..so she adds more spray and puts me back under..it's now 1:15.. I've been there since 10 to 12 and my party is at 3.. now can't be there to set up.. so everyone is confused as to where the tables go and what not..Well long story short.. my hair came out all with ringlets.. i had no time to fight with her cause i hadda go.. it looked horrid.. def. NOT worth $40.00..so i get home and brush it all out...and my matron of honor is mad so she's looking to go get my money back (love her..lol)..but we were running late ..so i said forget it. so now my hair is flat and full of knots from hair spray.. now 2:45.... i find a scab on my head this morning from the rollers..which apparently burnt my scalp. Not happy about that.. i had no time to do my make up because i hadda be down there to sort out a bunch of confusion!!!!! So now i pretty much hate every single picture.. i am pale.. nothing covering up my pimple and a horrible cut i got on my lip..my hair looked better when i rolled out of bed that morning than it wound up looking for the party.. besides that i am still in the middle of losing weight i put on.. so i was already feeling self conscience and i'm not happy at this point, but i'm trying to grin and bear it cause i have already had to much drama surrounding this party and i just wanna have a good time. Well the party started off good.. but i was a little dissapointed by some things.. the DJ didn't make any announcements (he's a local guy.. but i was told there would be announcements made..etc).. and most of the good songs that came on were by request..not what he was playing on his own.. so there was little dancing..which i wasn't thrilled with cause that was the point of the hall.. i would have saved money by going out to dinner if i wanted a dinner and not a party.. me and FH like to dance and have fun..and usually so do our friends and family.. but he kept changing the music..every other song would be a different genre.. so it wasn't working out..it was like dance..then sit. So now i wish i had gotten a different DJ. Besides all this.. i did enjoy myself..i dont want you all to think im just complaining and im not greatful.. i loved it.. i of course wound up having a good time all in all..but i just felt like through all my planning for this party.. it kept becoming about other people and so it didn't turn out to be what we wanted..so it was just dissapointing. We also had 7 or 8 people who said they were coming that didn't show up.. But we had already paid for them. getting an RSVP for this party was like pulling teeth.. i hope the wedding is not that bad because i can't take it..lol.
One good thing i can say is ..the food and service at the Cozy Royale was excellent as always. I had people coming up to me all day saying 'wow my husband is soo picky and hates calamari ..but he ate it here..it was excellent'.. they always go above and beyond there...the people are terrific and there was not even a single piece of food left over.
Also my matron of honor made a beautiful speech, and made sure i had a plate of food waiting when i was done talking to people.. and my maid of honor helped my mom set up while i was in the beauty salon from heII ...lol.. i spent most of the party with my beautiful flower girl (who i havent seen in awhile so she was clinging to me like white on rice..lol.. i lover her) and my adorable ring bearer. They def. made me smile when i didn't feel like it. So.. there's the good and the bad..lol. We did get some wonderful gifts and it was really nice to see some family we hadn't seen and have everyone together!!! That is what's important is that the people we cared about where there.. OK..thanks for putting up with me..here's some pics.. more in my album![]()

One good thing i can say is ..the food and service at the Cozy Royale was excellent as always.
