My Fall DIY pew cones and bubbles

Sure, that's why I posted it....because I got (stole) so many ideas form this site

-I bought plastic cones from doll section at AC Moore($1.48 each)
-Thick white wired ribbon
-Thin white ribbon for the streamers at the bottom of cone
-Pearl pins from bridal isle of Michaels
-Glue gun


I started at the bottom, and glued the edge of the thick white ribbon diagonally to the bottom of the cone.. then wrapped the ribbon around cone two times (tucking the top and bottom edges of the ribbon under as I wrapped)and hot glued it a tiny bit. Then I took the top of the piece and folded it over (towards you), and down..glued it a tiny bit, and wrapped it around again...and you just keep doing that. I stuck in a pearl pin at every spot where the ribbon crossed, I stuck them in as I went because it was easier to make sure they didn't end up crooked. I used 20 pins on that cone. And the pins are very long, so my FH actually cut them down with wire cutters before we used them, so no one gets stabbed when the go to grab the cone. I cut diff. length thin ribbon pieces and glued them in the hole at the bottom for the streamers.

Good luck if anyone tries it...I hope you don't lose as much of your fingertips on the hot glue gun as I did!!!!

Oh, and michaels and AC Moore have realy good sales on their floral stuff right now 50% off...that's
why I started them now.
