My family cat died yesterday... she was 15

My poor little kitty. She was a brown tabby named Tigger and we had her for close to 15 years. All of the sudden she started acting weird so we took her to the vet on Thursday. The vet gave her fluids and some vitamins. He said he'd check up on her in 2 days and if she wasn't getting better he wanted to do a blood and urine test.
Apparently yesterday she was hiding a lot and could barely walk or meow.
My sister and her fiance were on the way to the animal hospital with her and she died in the car.

Oh my. I am so sorry ...but remember 15yrs is a long life for a cat...you gave her the BEST years of her life...she couldnt ask for a better mommy

My cat that I had since I was like 11 years old died recently - and it was out of nowhere, so I feel your pain, not good times at all

There was one humorous thing that happened during the ordeal yesterday. Just before my family buried the cat in the backyard my mom called to whoever was in the house and said 'come on everyone, who wants to say goodbye to Tigger?'.
In perfect timing my Grandmother's 27 year old parrot perked up and shouted, 'goodbye!'

that definitely lightened the moment!

I am soooo sorry! I cab't imagine how you feel. I have three (crazy cat lady) and I my oldest isn't doing well. I fear the day I lose her!

I am so very sorry!!! Losing a pet is so difficult, especially when its sudden (as in no long term illness)......I hope you feel better!! I've lost a few cats over the years (one just last year on my birthday), and it's hard, but time is a great healer!

so sorry to hear this losing a pet is the worst, and people without pets just don't understand!
