memorial day would be really nice. It's a three day weekend so even if you have it on a sunday OOT guests don't have to worry about getting sunday night flights or taking off from work and plus you're right people are always looking for places to go on memorial day weekend

nothing wrong with memorial dat weekend. make sure folks know as soon as set the date though if you do chose that weekend. otherwise they'll make other plans.

Tough to not care about your family even if they're not paying. I'd try to make sure they felt listened to, and let them know you hear what they are telling you, even if you chose not to go the route they advise. and get ready! if they are this way about the date, and there's so much more to decide, there will proly be some more arguments or comments about your choices. do some preventive action, and talk with your FH in depth about what you two want out of the wedding and reception, what's important to you both, as a couple and as individuals, and prioritize the budget. make some decisions without asking for opinions from family members, and then invite them to help in the areas that you are less concerned about getting your way and are open to involving their choices. Its going to be tough but keep your chin up!

i am sorry you have to go through this wonderful time with her bringing you down. hold your head up high! sounds like you have a great FH who loves his mother despite her faults and who is honest, your example of paying back money to family is a great testimate to that quality. but it also sounds like your FMIL is very bitter and every utterance ab0ut the wedding and your marriage from her should be taken with a grain of salt. i hope you have some sources of positive wedding energy like friends and your family. do you bets to stay positive. and i don't know about you, but when i get blue and feel negative inside i pray and read some inspirational literature. usually helps get my spirit back in the right place.

ah so much going on fo you antoinette! juggling all these balls in the air, no wonder you feel stressed! maybe its best that you have off this semester...but perhaps the instructor is someone you can approach with these issues and will understand. i don't know. but i do hope your kids get better -feel better soon.

well sounds like you have the right focus--YOUR kids! all of them...! and praying, in my mind, always helps. even for those not believing in prayer, so meditation and time in silence with your own positive thoughts really helps center and calm the mind.
