My father hates FIL's now for good reason that I will not get into. And yesterday when something was wrong re: something FMIL said I called him and he started screaming at me about how 'they are bad for his health' (he has a heart condition.) I even called him today to apologize but again he started to scream. He makes me feel so bad. I mean, he's my dad, shouldn't I be able to turn to him if I need to?
He told me never to mention FMIL's name to him again. He doesn't ever want to see them (justifablbe) and said he will not even invite them to a wedding he will potential have with his current girlfriend in a few years.

It's unfortunate...but it may be a good idea to have not mentioned anything to him about what was said to begin with...because you are his daughter and he is going to defend you no matter what. Sometimes it's best to keep them out of your business...to avoid problems. I'm sorry

I know how you feel my fh has a heart condition and his aunt (who he is very close with since his parents are deceased) is not very nice to me. So when I vent to him about it he gets very upset. Its very hard.

I agree whole heartedly. Great statement Michelle.
Wedding planning is a very stressful time for brides and grooms, and it's even more stressful when constantly complaining about things. I know you have a lot of issues with your FMIL b/c 90% of your posts are in regards to her. Perhaps your father needs a break from that?
