My faux painting weekend - now with pics!!!!

Sorry that I don't have any 'before' pics but note that both the kitchen and bedroom were both a plain light color

Here we go...............just give me a minute to resize..........

Did you do that yourself? It came out really nice. I saw the Demo of that being done in Home Depot. Is that the one where you have to dab with a rag? They showed a few different styles of paintinf.

Lori - come on over......I'll mix up some glaze for ya

I did 2 different techniques - the bedroom was a rag roller that I bought at Home Depot. I only rolled on a camel color with some glaze - the base color was ivory.

For the kitchen I used another item from Home Depot called the 'woolie'. I actually used 3 colors with that - a deep brown, an orange and an ivory. Its really hard to see how the colors meshed together in the pics but it totally changed the look of my kitchen.

However, it was a lot of work and I have gone into 'faux' retirement

The bedroom will look MUCH better once the moldings and curtains go up.

I have to find more 'italian' inspired art for the kitchen. Any suggestions on where to go - looking for stuff like my 'mangia, mangia' sign.......

DEF hit up home goods/marshall's/tj maxx.. you will go nuts with all the stuff they have.. that;s where I bought most of my french bistro stuff
