so I get an rsvp last night from one of my mother's friends - this is a married couple - so on the card it reads 4 guest and scribbled where the name should be it says:
'Mr. and Mrs. Black and their daughter Jamie and her date'
What the hell!!!

FH was upset - but then again we got a card that had the names of a dead couple on it from some stupid family member who thought it was funny -
that one pissed me off more than this one!

I just accepted it (I have 7 extra people, 4 kids - I didnt want kids at the reception)... I figured it is just not worth getting upset about

If it is your mom's friend I would have her take care of it and tell them that her friend & husband were teh only 2 invited and that although they would have liked to invite her daughter they were unable to due to lack of room or money or whatever, but I wouldn't just let it slide you shouldnt' have to pay for 2 more peopel that you didn't invite to begin with...I hope this doesn't happen to me!!

they were friends of the family that died years ago - and since I don't think it was funny - this is the name I will put on the seating card -I think then I WILL LAUGH!

CALL THEM!!! toguh SH** if they get mad. its your wedding. That kind of stuff really gets me going. there were people at my wedding that werent even invited!
