yeah it is good to get it out

the spotlight might be on her now, but that's just because it is so fresh and it just happened. I am sure the spotlight will go back to you as you book more things and as it gets closer to your day. i hope they don't pick a date near yours though

i'm sorry to hear that... i'm sorta of in the same situation too. i got engaged last sept and my close friend just got engaged last week ... and i hear that she's planning her wedding possibly the weekend BEFORE me... though nothing is set in stone yet.... and also, she might be planning a destination wedding... so since we share so many of the same friends... not only are they attending 2 weddings 2 wknds in a row, but a destination wedding costs $$$.... ugh...

so i totally understand and i'd be totally bothered by it too... if he happens to have it before you... then just make yours that much better!

I have to say I know what you are going through. My FBIL was the same way... always talking about loving the 'bachelor' lifestyle, hitting on anything with a pulse and then the second we got engaged he proposed to the next girl he met and after about 3 months of dating. We are getting married in October after being engaged for a year and a half and he is getting married this June. He'll have known the girl for all of 8 months.

If you search for my name and FBIL you'll find a bunch of great stories about him... maybe they'll make you feel better

I am really sorry it sukcs when people can't be happy for their siblings and turn the entire process into a competition. I hope he does the right thing and waits until after you guys to have his wedding.
