My FFIL doesnt know me apparently

I just called my FMIL for her bday and I dont call there often (or ever really)... My FFIL picked up and i said hi..and after i said my name 3 times he still didnt know who i was... he even said to my FMIL 'some girl is on the phone for you'... UM HELLOOOO.. I AM YOUR FUTURE DAUGHTER IN LAW!! lol

I did call him by his first name accidentally.. I usally call them Mr & Mrs so that may have thrown him off,, but cmon now.. its not like he knows another jen!!

Geez.. now im embarrassed to see him this weekend

I wouldn't think too much of it. At his age he probably talks to the same few people on the phone all the time and when it's someone different he probably just gets confused lol

I know I know lol... but for some reason I cant be myself around him.. I get all nervous and he does too.. so I know my FMIL said something to him or made fun of him for not knowing me and he is going to say something this weekend and be all serious about it.. I just really try to avoid him as much as possible.. not to be mean.. just cause we have nothing in common and there is always an awkward silence... He is not used to having a daughter i guess......

dont feel bad.. once I called a boyfriend at the time and the dad called me an exs name..
also my name is christina and I am always called christine..

For about the first year my sister was married......her FIL called her 'the girl' LOL He just learned her name after almost 2 years being married. He didn't mean it in a disrespectful way...but he's older and forgetful.

He probably just had a senior moment!
