MY FFIL IS AN A$$- rp from 06

okay this is a long vent-
my ffil is the MOST self-centered person on the planet. our eparty is in 2 weeks and he never even rsvp'd. finally the other day my mom calls him (they have never met) and he says of course i am coming and so is my girlfriend- WHAT? we have never even met this woman!! so he goes on and on about her and DOESN'T say congrats or anything and then says to my mom- oh, have chloe call me because i want her to open the beach house. (which i planned on doing anyway)

so i call him several times and he doesn't answer so i leave messages. and i cancel my stuff for this afternoon to go over to the beach. then i calll fbil's girlfriend who says, oh, phil hired me to open the house today because he said he is upset at you for avoiding him. WHAT THE F%&^?

so i call him AGAIN and leave a message and he calls me saying, oh I had such a nice chat with your mom...oh, my client just walked in I will call you back.

i am just so tired of his selfish crappy behavior and it makes me want to cry.

I'm sorry, he definitely sounds self centered.

I hope things with him get better.

i totally feel for you!!! my FFIL is the same way, completely selfish and self-centered! we are having a 2nd reception overseas just for him (which is fine with me because he's sick and can't attend our wedding in ny). but he decided for us where we would have our reception, ordered the most expensive menu for us ignoring our opinion (mind you, WE are paying for it!!), said he would ONLY invite 100 guests, and now ending up with 145!!!!!!!! AND he has the nerve to ask me how many guests my parents are having (we wanted to be fair so i told my parents they can invite the same amount of guests as FFIL if that's what they need.), so that he can take over the 'remaining' space that my parents may not need!!!!!!!!!!! ***?!?!?!?!?!??!!?!?

the list can go on and on and on... but i'll keep it brief for now....

sorry, don't mean to take over your thread!!! just want to vent as well!!

let's just be happy that they're just our FFIL, and hopefully we don't have to deal with them too much!!!

who i feel really sorry for is fh- it's his DAD!! imagine how hurtful that is!!

FH is catering to FFIL's every need because FFIL's sick. I do feel bad that he's sick, and I do try to accomodate as much as possible, but i think sometimes he's just using that to his advantage and be unreasonable!

anyways, i'm sorry to hear about your FFIL, but in a way i'm glad... cuz I always see posts on MOG or FMIL... and rarely see something on FFIL, now i know i'm not alone!! hehehe
