My FH............

My FH............

My FH got hurt at work. He is now going to be out of work for at least one month. We finally have money in the bank and were starting to feel comfortable. I feel so bad for him, but at the same time I am so stressed out. Am I being selfish???

can he collect worker's comp or disability or something? That might help a little..sorry about your FH...I hope he feels better

Thankfully yes he can collect workers' comp. , but he won't get paid as much as he does if he was working.

no not at all i know what your going through i'll give you a quick run through of what happened to us
1st last year fh had appenicitis he was out for 8wks b/c he has to lift heavy furniture
then he went back for 2wks when he tore ligiments in his ankle out for 6wks went back for 3wks and w/a box cutter he almost cut his finger off he needed 13 stitches he was out for another couple of weeks and i felt the same way as you do.plus we have 2 kids and i dont have the greatest job to make up what he was losing.you just have to stay positive and you will get through it.Best of luck and hope he gets better!

Look at it this way, he can be out of work and you have nothing in the bank. Yes it still *****, but if it had to happen, the position you guys are in now is a good thing.

No, you are not being selfish. When my hubby got hurt at work I felt really bad for him, but then I was so stressed out thinking of bills and just everything that I was angry at him too. It is quite normal the way you feel. Hope he feels better soon
