my FH is the best- but Famous Dave's, not so much!

I called him and told him how proud I was that he's DONE! - and all he had to say was, 'Nic, that certification should have YOUR name on it, 'cause I could've never ever done it by myself!!!'

OK, so Dave's Famous...

well the food was great, BUT the service was the worst we've ever experienced!!!!!

We got there, they told us 5-10 minute wait for a table (they don't take reservations or call-ahead service) ---- we waited 45 minutes!!!!

We got a table, and sat for 30 minutes before a waiter came and introduced himself. When I flagged down another server and asked for the manager, I was told that the manager was TOO BUSY to talk to customers!!!

Our food came almost an hour later, and we had to wait another 20 minutes when we asked for the check.

They don't have their act together yet - the hostesses were seating people at tables that hadn't been cleaned yet, the servers weren't assigned to many tables, but it was evident that many of them haven't ever served before.

The bartender broke 13 glasses in the time we were there - FH and I were counting to pass the time.

OH, I almost forgot - we were sitting near the bar/kitchen door, so we heard EVERYTHING the servers were saying in the kitchen.....they were all complaining about their lousy tips!!! One girl even called a customer a 'f'en beotch' 'cause she only tipped 15%!!!!

I don't want to discourage anyone from going, I would just wait til the hype dies down a little and they have their act together.

The food definitely made the place worth it.

We had a rib tips appetizer ('cause my sister said we HAD to try their ribs), and I had the cajun chicken sandwich...FH had one of their burgers.


OH, and get the drunken apples. They offer them as a side dish, but I took 'em home for dessert. They're cooked apples, in cinnamon, in a sauce with a hint of amaretto. SO good!
