Re: my fh want to
My FH just did this for his (followed by some raunchy strippers) They wear gear (they supplied the head gear at the place, but he was supposed to bring the other gear, and since it was a surprise he didn't) ANYWAY, his face will be protected. FH is sore, a few bruises here and there, but he's okay. Don't worry, it will be fine!!

Re: my fh want to
my FH did this on Sat. (1 week before wedding) and he is fine. He got some welts on his arm and his side, but no where visible (my 1 condition). He had a blast. Let him go and have fun! They wear a face mask to protect their faces.

Re: my fh want to
I've gone to play paintball myself a few times and it really isn't as bad as you might think. They ABSOLUTELY HAVE to keep their masks on while they're in a game to protect their faces. I've seen some pretty bad welts and bruises but they heal pretty quickly. Your FH doesn't have to be aggressive, he can hang back and play more defense where he'll be less likely to get hurt (that's what I did!).

Re: my fh want to
My FH did this with his employees as a 'team building' exercise...I'm not sure how gunning eachother down fosters teamwork, but whatever...men, right?
Anyway, he wore a face mask, so he didn't get any welts on his face. He did have some welts on his body, but they were done in a day or two...
I think they should be fine. For insurance reasons, paintball places need to use lower power guns (you can buy really high powered ones, but the paintball places use altered ones) and everyone has to wear protective gear.
