Hi...I am just venting...my shower was suppose to be a partial surprise ie- I knew there was gonna be one but not what it was or where or when...and he we were having a disagreement and he said so is...so and so coming in on that date..... and told me the date...I am so angry and dissapointed. I know maybe that sounds retarded but I never had a suprise party of any kind before. I am also really stressed out about finishing the wedding plans (only 2 months) so I am not sure if I am overreacting but it is upsetting...

I'm sure he TOTALLY didn't mean it. And I'm sure he feels bad. I would just be so excited that you are having one. Afterall, the surprise only lasts for a minute!

You are not overreacting.. you have every right to be upset but I am sure it accidentally slipped out... you can try to look at it as... you will still be surprised by what you get and where the place is... try not to be too disappointed

Many, Many years ago when I had my bridal shower it was in my home and I totally figured it out - fancy foods being prepared, secret phone calls, rolls of wrapping paper in the closet, etc. However, when I walked in the door and saw my living room over-flowing with gifts and all the women I cared about gathered together just for me, that in itself became the surprise and I was over-taken by emotion. Believe me, the thrill is in seeing and feeling all the love. Don't worry about being surprised - you will have one of the best days of your life regardless! And please, don't feel guilty about your reactions. You are allowed to want it all to be perfect.

I think prncssrachel might be right...it seems kind of early for your shower. I bet they are trying to fool you. Dont worry about it... everything will just fall into place.

I still wouldn't worry, my dear. Things always happen for a reason. Look at it this way, at least now you will be prepared and can go buy a new outfit to wear for your shower Like LIMom said, you will be overwhelmed with all the women and gifts and attention, so the surprise element will still be there. You will have a great time!
