Before I went on vacation (2 weeks ago) I went for a regular manicure (no tips) now my ring finger is a bit swollen and all around it is red. Do you think this could be caused by the manicure? Is this a petty thing to go to the doctor for? It's tingly and throbbing.
Has anyone had this before?

Did u get ur cuticles cut?? Could be that she went a little too far in the cutting and its probably infected.

go to the doctor it could be an infection! My 80-year old neighbor was hospitalized over a manicure infection - granted her immune system was weak because she is an older lady but still!
A staph infection could be very serious. They'll give you some antibiotics and you'll be fine - but don't let it just harbor any more infection!

They did cut them so that's what I was thinking it could be.
I just wonder if there is something I can put on it to ease the pain when I hit it.

Definetly go to the doctor. My sister had this and it became a serious staph infection. It happened to Paula Abdul. Your body is telling you something is not right.

Doctor immediately. It could be a fungal or bacterial infection.

its probably infected. ive had that before because i used to bite my cuticles then dirt would get in and make it swollen, red and throbbing for a couple days.
its gone away on its own in the past but it may be wise to talk to a doctor and maybe get a mild antibiodic or ointment.
