My First Day on Weight Watchers

My First Day on Weight Watchers

...is not going so well. I get 19 'points' per day. It is 2:30 p.m. and I have used 17.5 of them. I now have 1.5 points remaining for dinner and the rest of the night...bummer. This is going to be harder than I thought. Is anyone else out there suffering in the name of weight loss? I am 3.5 months out from the big day and I want to lose 10 pounds.

I think you just have to limit every meal to a certain amount of points and keep the most for dinner.. if ur limit is 19 then I would have 4.5 for breakfast and lunch and 10 for dinner.. and try your best not goover that.. I know that's what most of my friends do !! and my mom.. she LIVES by weight watchers!!

Make sure you're eating lots of filling foods, fruits and veggies. Plan your days in advance so you can get the most out of each meal. Use your 35 weeklies if you have to, and go out and exercise to get some activity points.

19 points a day is hard, but doable. When I'm in losing mode, I get 18 per day.

I've been there...19pts a day is def. hard but you can do it!!

Excercise so you get activity points. use your 35 weekly points. Eat filling foods. Visit Weightwatchers.com for recipes and food ideas.

Fiber one bars are really good 2pt snacks that make me feel full. Before every meal have a low fat soup or a salad w/ FF dressing. This will help fill you up before you.

I know its hard...I've been on WW for a year and a half, and a life time member for almost 8 months now. But the end result is totally worth it.

If you need any help w/ food ideas or inspiration FM me. I'll a WW pro by now. Also, Lsorrent (she also posted on this thread) is soooo helpful- she always give fabulous WW advice since she's a leader and all- I feel like she's my own personal LIW WW leader (yay Laura!!)

i have good days and bad just try not to let the bad days turn into bad weeks and months. I recall last week having to eat steamed broccoli for dinner cause I used up all my points for lunch at panera bread...

I feel your pain! I started jenny craig this week... the food is awesome but pretty small portions lol. I am allowed to eat as much salad as I want and I feel like I just ate a whole head of lettuce with dinner lol!

Dont worry it will get easier! Just say positive, it just takes some getting used to and you be at your goal weight in no time!

Re: My First Day on Weight Watchers

Ok, I PROMISE you - stick to it. The first week or two STINK!!!! But I lost 51 - yes, 51 lbs from the Fall. And PS, could have lost it faster but was kind of lazy in Jan/Feb :) I started in October and lost 35 lbs by Christmas. Then got lazy. Then recommitted and lost more so I'm down 51 total. My best advice is this. Stay to a program where you eat well and exercise. If you mess up. enjoy and forget it. Move on. That was how I was succesful. Best of luck to you

It will get easier. You'll learn what things you can eat earlier in the day that you actually like and will fill you up. Hang in there!

Re: My First Day on Weight Watchers

I totally agree. I started weight watchers seriously in april. The weight was slow at first when I was eating the smart ones and someone on this site said they were full of sodium so I switched to my own cooked stuff and now it's coming off. 14 lbs down

you can start your points at dinner.
go dinner, breakfast and then lunch.

this is a PMS week for me so i'm extra hungry (unfortunately). so i'm exercising more to use activity point when / if i go over.
