My first dress shopping adventure

So my mom, aunt, and Junior bridesmaid came with me today to start the search for a dress. We went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. Had a great experience. found two totally different dresses that I really liked. We also went to Davids Bridal in Massapequa. I had a totally different experience there. The consultant was all over the place & kept pulling everything I said I didn't want

Overall it was a fun day. Where have you ladies had good experiences dress shopping? I think my next stop will the wedding salon of manhasset.

Glad you had a good trip. Wow those are very different. Do you like one style more than the other?

It sounds like you had a good experience overall. Doesn't sound like you found the one yet, but when you do you will know. Happy hunting!

I don't think I found 'the one' but had a great experience and it felt so amazing putting on a wedding dress. It made it seem so 'real'

I got my Marisa at BR Massapequa! Loveee Marisa dresses, they're like hidden gems, haha. I didn't even know the designer before I got my dress.

Good luck with the rest of your search!

Yes, trying on wedding dresses made it seem so real for me too, also when I went to the florist I really felt like a bride. I guess because you have to invision it all in your head and it makes it all a reality.

I had such a great time at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset. I ended up getting my dress there! The consultants are so nice and friendly. I feel like I clicked with all of them instantly. The consultant that helped me the first time I was there no longer works there but all the consultants there are so helpful. They understood what I was looking for right away and were never pushy. The only downside is that the prices are a little steep compared to the other places I've been to. But overall, they're awesome!

My sister got her dress at the wedding salon. They are quite more pricey but the store is beautiful and the people there were very nice!

if you find that you like the lace styles, go to pronovias in manhattan- i liked a james clifford from bridal reflections but it was kind of pricey, and pronovias had way more detailed lace gowns for cheaper- and i got the best treatment overall with pronovias- if you go, request alana or sarah, (she was from Say yes to the dress years ago and moved to pronovias) they are awesome!

I bought my dress at bridal world in Baldwin. They have dresses that start at a much lower price than bridal reflections. I went in thinking one price limit and I bought my dress for 300 dollars less than I thought!

That's great. I also just started dress shopping and went to Macys (Herald Square), David's Bridal, Village Bridal and Helen's Bridal. My favorite experience was at Village Bridal this past weekend I really loved it there, tried on tons of dresses and my consultant was great!
