My first fitting PICS added!!!! fixed?

So today was my first fitting - I will post pics when my MOH sends them to me.

My mom, sister and cousin came with me to Bridal Elegance. Phyllis was AWESOME - she was with us for an hour. She helped me pick out the right bra and bustle and she was so patient with me ( i am the worst when it comes to making decisions ). My dress looked great! I also bought a faux fur to go over it!

My mom on the other hand, was a giant poop. She CANNOT hide her feelings and it is like okay can you at least PRETEND to like my dress? My dress is silk - and silk wrinkles get over it. So the whole time instead of thinking 'wow this is my baby girl in a wedding gown' she is SMOOTHING out the wrinkles in the front of the dress looking like 'tsk, tsk' - even when i was asking opinions on the bustle she just kind of nodded bc she was so engrossed in the freeken wrinkles. Then she complains to everyone about how I am mean to her bc I said something about her hating the dress!

dont worry, my mom was like that on the phone today when i suggested something for the reception
her response was, 'Um, no i dont think so'
i was like, 'Geez, cant you even LOOK at it first before you make an opinion!'

Anytime I talk to my mom about my dress she says 'I think it needs glitter or sparkles.'



Mothers are hopeless. They need more of a filter.

Ohhh...I can't wait to see....it is the dress I thought was my dream dress...(I never actually got to try it on)....

My mom didn't like my dress either...different tastes! I was torn, but in the end, I am not going to spend money on my mom's dream dress...

mothers are so opinionated. my mom didn't like most of the ones i picked out (too plain!) but i finally settled on a lacier dress and she was happy with it.

It's been such a crazy day and I've been running around.

We got to BE a little after 1:30 but I don't think I saw you. I'm not certain though.( If you saw a woman with a walker that was my mother.)

My mom didn't see anything she liked but I might have found a veil!!! They told me they could sell me the sample and add an extra tier to it for half the price. My mom thinks I should go for it but is afraid that they will 'change' their mind since we didn't say yes while we were there.

YAY!! just under 3 months!!!! I'm glad the dress fit and you picked everything out.

I'm sorry about mom. They don't realize how much it hurts us when they aren't excited about things we pick for our wedding.

Anywho, silk is gorgeous, you're going to look fabulous, wrinkles or not, and when she sees you with you hair and make-up done and your dress on, she'll be a balling baby!!!
