My first fitting was yesterday

But nothing could be done, b/c stupid me didnt bring the exact shoes that I am wearing on W-Day! Now I am scheduled for next Wed. but I have to find shoes ASAP!!! I hate shoe shopping, I've been looking for the last few weeks and I cant find any that feel comfy! I have a problem with shoes anyway. Can anyone reccommend a shoe store in Manhattan or Queens that have a nice selection of shoes (comfy)? TIA

Awww!! That stinks! Have you tried the Nine West bridal line? I hate shoes and never wear heels anymore (not for years!!). But when I did, they were always Nine West and they were pretty comfy.

Good luck!!

I got mine at RK Bridal in the city. They are really comfortable and I could take them home that day! (most bridal shoe stores make you order them).

Here's a pic:

StepherG, I was at RK Bridal yesterday and didnt see anything that looked comfortable. I also tried on nine west ones and they hurt I have flat feet so the balls of my feet hurt in even 1 inch heels and my feet get very crampy after a while. What am I gonna do?

Those are cute.....I gotta take a second look when I go to RK. I really wasn't thinking about shoes when I got my gown.

They make it so difficult to buy wedding shoes! They either have to be ordered or they are uncomfortable. Someone should come out with an 'aerosoles' type of wedding shoe that looks great and feels like your walking on a cloud! I wish I could be of more help. I tryed on EVERY pair of shoes at RK bridal and finally settled on the ones I showed above. They actually don't hurt!

Good luck..some of the things I thought were going to be easy turned out to be the toughest part!

Re: My first fitting was yesterday

I am actually not wearing 'wedding' shoes. I just went to Macy's, Nordstrom's and all the local shoes stores and looked at all the white or silver shoes they had available (I have silver stiching in my dress.) I didn't want to shell out a ton of $ for shoes I would never wear again, and I don't think people will be seeing much of my feet. Most importantly, I wanted something comfortable. So I got a pair of silver shoes from Macy's (Liz Flex) and white sandals from Famous footwear (Lifestride) and will decide on which pair to wear after I wear them around the house a little. I would be able to wear either of them after the wedding, and they were not that expensive.

I'm just curious, why are you going for your 1st fitting so early? I started my fittings about 3 weeks before my wedding.

Thomas Knoell in Great Neck sell wedding shows that are known for comfort. They are super cushy.

I got dance shoes! They are so comfy and have a suede bottom so you can glide across the dance floor (but not slide and fall).

Re: My first fitting was yesterday

2003 fall wedding, I kind of lied about my date because I didnt want any problems in getting it late, etc... I can be neurotic Now I will be stuck with a dress 2 months too early. I told RK Bridal that my WDay was 6/5 and they scheduled 3 fittings 3 weeks apart. The last one is 5/20.

Edited to say that I located a few other stores in Manhattan that I will try out tomorrow for shoes. Wish me luck.
