My first ghost dream/nightmare (NWR)

So last night (or closer to earlier this morning) i had my very first ghost dream where I actually saw the ghostly image of my grandmother down the hallway wherever I was. I screamed bloody murder in my dream as she started to get out of her chair and come towards me, and woke up with a start, surprised I didn't wake DH up (apparently I hadn't screamed aloud).

For those of you who may not remember, my grandmother passed away in February a month after DH and I got engaged. The day before she died, we were hanging out for a while at the hospital chatting up a storm. I showed her pics of me in my dress that I had just printed and she said 'are you married?' and I said 'no, Nana, in July' and she said 'I'll be there, whether you invite me or not' rather insistent. It was a strange comment, until she died the next day (at 92, mind you, so we couldn't be too sad - she lived an amazing life).

Lately I've been wondering what she would've wanted me to name a great grand child after her someday or if she would've (I'm not pregnant, I'm just thinking about names)... I don't know if that's why this happened.

The dream really really startled me. It was so eerie, and I felt so panic stricken.

I guess I just wanted to share and see if anyone has any advice or similar experiences like this.

Aw. .sorry you had a scary dream or not that it was scary but that you felt scared in your dream. .my opinion might change daily on whether I think people visit us in our dreams or not but either way I think that you might have the dream again and maybe just think about trying to enjoy it. . now that it won't be startling in the same way. . and then it will prob be a positive experience in some way. .


I have def felt my grandparents around. . the strongest one was when I was at my grandfather's funeral I heard (or imagined I heard depending on your world view) him whisper to me. . it was really strange.. I was alone in the funeral home, we were setting up and everyone else had stepped out and I went to walk out of the door and I heard/felt this thought that said 'don't leave, I don't want to be alone now' it was REALLY strange. . then about 2 minutes later I heard/felt. ' I'm okay now'

Just wanted to give you some hugs Sandra! I don't feel like I can give you any advice or words of wisdom, I struggle with faith issues too deeply, so I don't know what I believe in. Just wanted to give you support since you seemed a little shaken.

I might take my original message down as well. It does make me feel strange, but knowing that everyone goes through their own sorts of issues like this makes me feel a little more normal.
