My First Official Wedding Tragedy!!

I'm devastated ...
I have discovered that my beautiful Asscher Cut 1Ct. Diamond E Ring has been chipped. Its not something you can see unless you really examine it because its almost under one of the prongs. When I saw it I wanted to cry... It's so sad...

I have no idea how or when it happened. I cleaned my ring the day before yesterda, then yesterday morning at work I decided out of the blue to just take my ring off and look at it closely. Thats when I saw it! I dont know if its always been there but I doubt it... I've only had it for 5 months now, and i'm a receptionist so its not like i'm doing anything with my hands that could damage the ring...

Its very unlikely for a diamond to chip so easily unless it was damaged before hand! do you have it insured? i would call the jeweler that you bought it from asap..they should replace it for you....be polite but stern...kill them with kindness first because being nasty never helps

I my FH has already contacted the jeweler and we are going in today to talk about this....

I wont be nasty but I am very upset. If they replace it I will still be a little sad knowing that that isnt the diamond he gave me when he asked me to marry him.

I am sorry about your diamond!! I hope they replace it for you. I know how you feel that it wont be the same diamond... so ask him to propose again!!

Not true, it can be very easy for a diamond to chip if there is a weak spot in the stone. This happen to me it was a small chip , I was angry at first but realized that it happens, and put in a claim with my insurance company and I got a new diamond from my Jeweler. . . it happens

I'm sorry this happened. Hope things go well at the jewelers.
