~~~~~My First QOTD 61/09~~~~~*~

First i want to say thank you again (for like the 60th time) !!!!

My first question of the day is have you ever experienced any difficult situations with anyone in FH's family - but by difficult i mean to the point where you werent sure if you guys should stay together or not?? If so how did you handle it?

My answer to this questions - is, uh, yea i have quite a few times which is sad. Its not really the family as the brothers women. They lie and stretch the truth and come up with nonsense to try to cause trouble. It took a few years for 1 of the brothers (the only1 i really like) to realize that it wasnt me and it was them. Once that happened - it was like smooth sailing - i get along great with FH's mom, cousins and that brother - but now its to the point where the brothers let the women argue if we have to or not talk to each other if we have to and they dont get involved which is wonderful because i dont want to cause issues between the brothers. But i have learned to just stay away from them (which is why they are NOT invited to my shower) and everything will be wonderful! Im glad that FH stood by me because he knew all along it was them and not me. whew!!! that was a long response! Have fun & have a great day! XO

Luckily, no I haven't. My FFIL, FBIL, and FSIL are all awesome. FMIL can be a PITA, but she really does mean well. She just goes about things the wrong way sometimes. If anyone makes me re-think marrying FH sometimes....it's FH himself (j/k obviously).

luckily no but there were times I just wanted to tell his SIL off and sometimes his mom but for the most part his mom is a sweetheart!!!

I've had issues w/ some of FH's family but not to the point where it led me to question our relationship. Hopefully it stays that way!!!

luckily nope. i love FMIL. she is a wonderful person who does everything & anything for us.
FFIL has passed away but he also was a wonderful person who also took care of FH & I.

Actually I have not had any of these problems as of yet ........... FH's family has been very supportive and understanding of everything. My Family on the other hand is driving me crazzzyyyyy !!!

FH's family is soooo different from mine. my family is very close nit and cares about everything and always wants to be together and does everything together. we talk on the phone all the time, telling each other everything, discussing EVERY single detail for hours. his family member's are all very independant (I'm talking here about FMIL, FSIL's and FH). they talk very rarely on the phone, emailing each other - if I tried doing that with my family I would be disowned
there were a lot of times where I just didnt get them at all. something I've never encountered before so it did make me rethink the relationship a few times. also I have a feeling that the older FSIL doesnt like me, so I was very upset and was to the point I told FH I dont want her at the wedding not my finest moment, I'll admit. so I decided to be the bigger person and ask her & her DH to dinner.
for the rest of the stuff I decided to just try and accept their ways and try not to compare them too much to us

His family has caused fights between us before. At the beginning, we would break up for a few hours or a day over it, but that hasn't happened much lately. They are still a PITA.

ITA. Although, I have to say, it has been interesting planning this wedding and our engagement party and trying to meld the ideas of the two families...

All kidding aside, there were several times throughout the relationship, where I was sitting acroos a table from her, and thought to myself, 'oh my, she's awful'.

But FH is just too awesome to let her ruin that for me.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! FBIL 'ex'girlfriend. I hate her... she is a poor excuse for a human being. She is a lying stealing manipulator. She was very jealous and tried sabotaging me multiple times so that she would look good to the family. FBIL broke up with her because she stole money from her place of work (the place where his cousin got her the job and where his family are patients)- her excuse was that she didnt have enough $$$ to buy FBIL a birthday present (yet she brags how her father has sooo much money). We also think she stiole $300 from cousins purse. He still sees her because his heart is bigger then his head. The latest is that she called FMIL and told her how she is sorry and that she loves her son and that she will do anything to come back into the family. She even sent her a mother's day card that sais 'ou're like a mother to me' on the front. kiss ***. She said that she knows me and FH hate her and will call us up and apologize because she wants back into the fam. Just like she did anything to get into the family the first time- she will do anything to get back in including lowering herself and begging for forgiveness. I don't want her at my wedding for the way she treated me and my sister. Lets see what will happen- like usual the b!tches always win soooo the saga continues!!!!!!!!

FSIL says alot of side comments about both me and FH, but its more of her judging us, never something that makes me doubt our relationship

i would say that is has not gotten to the point where its like should i stay or go?? But there is a little drama there....our families are SO different it is amazing! But i just take one day at a time and know that my family is behind us 10000% and they love us no matter what!
