Sooo I just want to thank Kristen again for picking me as BOTW! And thanks to all you ladies for the congrats!
I'm so excited!
So my first question is this:
If you had been the one to propose, what would you have done?
OR If you were the one to propose, what do you think your partner would've done?
And of course, this is by no means meant to devalue however FH/FW proposed. It's just if you had been the one to propose, what idea would have came into your mind about how to do it.
I love the way that FH proposed; however, he waited over two years after we told each other we wanted to marry eachother in order to do it. So I told him that if he didn't do it soon, I was going to propose to him. Therefore, I had a lot of time to think about what I would do.
I decided that I would've waited until Easter and put together an elaborate Easter egg hunt for FH. They would've been plastic eggs with a clue leading to the next one. It would've been housewide= indoors/outdoors/any other doors that exist!
Then when he received the clue for the final egg, I'd make sure to be right on his heels. He'd open the egg, the ring would be inside, and then I would propose!
I hope this question isn't too silly lol, but it's just been something I've always thought about, so I wondered what you all would do too!

i love how fh proposed (on the beach in mexico)....but if I was the one to propose I would probably do something at a Mets Game since we are both big mets fans....like maybe try to get on the field when the stadium is empty..and propose (i wouldn't wanna do it on the big screen in front of everyone)...this is something I know FH would love!!!!

Our cat (well, his cat) is more like a dog than a cat. He follows FH around everywhere, waits for him to come home, lays with FH if he's sick or upset, sleeps in the bed with us... you get the idea. If I had proposed I would have had the cat with a little collar around his neck that said 'I only have 9 lives, will you marry her already?' and a ring attached (wait how does that work? is it a ring for me or for FH?). The cat would be waiting like he always does for FH to come home and... surprise!
Okay I'm so cheesy lol!

I think If I had proposed I would have done something super over the top like in Serendipity... wrapping the ring in a million boxes with candles and roses everywhere....
But Bill was too excited to plan a big thing he can't keep a secret and it was so sweet and I was shocked!@!!

If I was the one to propose, I would have done it this June 6th at FH's brother's memorial run. He lost his brother 4 years ago unexpectingly and I think it would mean so much to him that his brother could somewhat be there for it.

Good question.....I never really thought of this.
I probably would've done it on Superbowl, because that's his favorite day of the year. But I have no idea how because I was always just waiting for FH to do it.

I LOVE the way FH proposed to me (on a Cruise in front of 2000 strangers) however if I were to have been the one to do it, I would have done it more private and intimate. FH doesn't like the spotlight so much. He is more of a home body. So it would have been romantic and just the 2 of us.
HOWEVER- I on the other hand love BIG THINGS. I like being outgoing and I like the spotlight so he couldn't have done it more perfectly for me

My FH tried so hard to wait until we got to jamaica but our flight was delayed 13 hours so he was getting antzyy (sp lol) so he did it in the ramamda by jfk airport while we waited for our flight ......
If i were him i would have ****** it up and waited till we got there to do it on the beach......
But if i were to propose i would have done it at home in our sweats ..... bc i know he would have expected it when we were out so i would have wanted to throw him off =)

i looooove how my FH proposed (during the fireworks in the magic kingdom).. put if i was proposing to him i'd probably do it over the jumbo tron at Shea (Citi Field, whatever lol)
he's a huge mets fan and i feel like that would be the only proper way to propose to him!!

I am the worst with keeping surprises so no matter what elaborate idea I could come up with I wouldn't be able to wait to do it!
PS- If I proposed to him, do i buy myself a ring? B/c I wouldn't be able to afford one!

that's kind of a fun question.
LOVE the way FH proposed and honestly he incorporated several things that I loved so it was unique and memorable.
having said that.....If I had been the one to propose, I would have proposed in London on our trip which was only 6 months before he actually did. My family is in London and when we were there FH actually 'proposed' to my parents.
But if I had done it, it would have been in London likely on the Eye or in the middle of Piccadilly Circus :)
but regardless he did good!

Hmmm I have never thought of this. I don't think I would ever have the nerve to propose myself. I'm a wimp lol I waited 7 years for FH to propose! Even the way he did it isn't some spectacular story, just spectacular to me :)

Well I was a bit disappointed at the way my FH proposed. He proposed the day before we were to go to Vegas and he did in front of the friends who introduced us. I had wanted it to be something more intimate.
It wasn't until this past weekend that in reality he had other plans to propose. His idea was to propose to me at the Venetian on the gondola ride. But in order to get the ring to Vegas, he found a few obstacles in his way.
1. I am always in control of packing and locking the luggage, so he would not be able to pack the ring away. 2. He had friends who worked at the airport tell him that if he had the ring on his persona, that the metal detector would have gone off and right then I would have found out about the ring. 3. he could Fed ex it to the hotel, but couldn't get enough insurance to cover the ring. 4. Also, the hotel would accept the ring, but at his own risk.
So he did it the way it happened. I think I may have him propose to me again when we go to Vegas this September, and this time do it how he wanted to do it from the beginning.

Well I never have given thought to have I would have proposed and I am traditional in the way that I would always want the guy too (not to offend anyone else). But if I couldve chosen the way FH proposed to me, I always dreamed of it being on the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights. It overlooks the whole city skyline and its just a beautiful place and so relaxing on any day, especailly when its a warm day and everyones wallking or running or just sitting on the benches. But this might not be his ideal proposal if I had proposed so I think I wouldve done it at a Yankee game or in New Orleans...its like a second home to us there.

Good question! It definitely would have happened earlier, as for how I would have done it, I probably would have done it on vacation somewhere and made it super romantic, candles, a nice dinner the whole nine yards and then a walk on the beach, just because I love the beach and warm weather.
