So my first QOTD is. . . . Did anything funny happen between you and your FH when you first started dating?
I have a funny story, It was our 3rd date and we decided to watch a movie at his apartment, and we were sitting on the couch and my FH turns his head like he is going to tell me something or kiss me - and he accidently let out this huge burp , he was so embarrassed!!!! After we could not stop laughing, and he could not stop apologizing.
I bring it up all the time – I’m always like “what if I just walked out and never talked to you again”

Let's see.....
I wore a pair of pants that were way too tight on one of our dates and they split down the middle while I was in the bathroom.....
My father caught us kissing for the first time on New Year's Eve (it wasn't midnight yet, and we only knew each other for like 2 weeks) and he was so drunk that he told us to get a room
ETA: I forgot the most obvious one.....
On our second date, FH picked me up at home and drove to the restaurant. We got into an argument in the car about who was going to pay for dinner. So we pull into the parking lot, park, and I yell 'That's it, I'm getting out!' He says 'go ahead.'
So he gets out of the car, and here I am trying to open the car door, and it won't open!!!! I was absolutely petrified b/c I couldn't get out. So FH walks around to the passenger side and is just watching me through the window. I look up and there he is standing over the car looking down at me He opens the door and says..........'So how do you like my date rape device????'
Turns out the window was broken on the passenger side and the night before, he and a friend tried to fix it. Well they fixed the window, but broke the door in the interim. Funny story looking back, but it was terrifying at the time

We laugh all the time .......
one time i called the empire state building the statue of liberty (honest mistake lol )
he would spill his water everytime we went out to dinner
we both love to laugh and havee alot of inside jokes

Well we laugh about this now.....long story short, on our first date, i was so nervous, i had ALOT to drink, i couldn't even walk to the car, FH had to carry me, I passed out during the drive home and then threw up. I knew he loved me when he actually called me the next day!

FH brought me to a party when we first started dating and I went to the bathroom and didn't zip my fly and i didn't realize it until I got home.

& honestly, i don't remember anything funny or embarrassing happening when we first started dating.. that was almost 9 years ago & i can't even remember what i had for breakfast yesterday LOL... but nothing really stands out in my mind
i know about two years into our relationship i spilled a whole cup of coffee on his lap at his mother 50th birthday party in front of his whole family! LOL that was fun!

Every 'important point' of our relationship has always had some kind of humor to it...We have a running debate as to who kissed who first/how we ended up together, but the way it all happened was definately funny looking back. It was my first tequila experience and we were with our friends at a hotel (for a college student gov't retreat). I enjoyed the tequila and cheap pizza a little too much and got really sick within minutes of eating another slice of pizza. our friend MIke was in the bathroom with me laughing at me and holding my hair back (and then I was holding his hair back while he was puking too, he had longer hair than I did, it was really funny lol) When I had said I was going to go back to my room and go to sleep all of the guys were 'fighting' over who got to take me back to my room (to 'make sure I was ok') and somehow Shawn 'won' and the rest is history!!

nothing really jumps out in my head...but it might just be becuase its monday morning and im working on less than 4 hours sleep....one thing i can think of is that i didnt realize that our first date was actually a date...so i was a bit confused....we laugh about that now

Yupp our first date. Fh kept telling me to have another glass of wine... I kept saying 'You're not going to get me drunk'.... yeah, well our first date lasted for hours we were having such a good time. Finally when we went back to his house, I said 'Welp, ya did it.... ya got me drunk' I kept repeating this sentence about 50 times... then I went in his bathroom and got sick. He was dying laughing at me. I tried to play it off like I wasn't sick but c'mon I was a MESS. I obviously was not driving home so I stayed there and he was a COMPLETE gentleman. He didn't try anything. I was so embaressed and feared he wouldn't call me again. Well he called me the next morning to ask how I was feeling and to make a second date.
He reminds me of this story A LOT when I am drunk....
ETA: Marie it's 6-29-09... not July... I know we all want it to be 2010 quicker but changing the date on us is only a tease

theres a couple. i dont think when i tell it though it will sound as funny but to us it was, when it was happening. In the first month or so of us dating, he had not signed his lease again but hadnt found a place so he was sleeping on his mothers couch in her place for a while and i still lived at home so we would always hang out in the car, etc or go eat but eventually it was like we dont want to eat or chill in a car so he was so nervous to say this but he went for it, he goes listen, i am nervous and REALLY dont want you to think im being disrepectful and i swear on everything nothing will happen, but do you just wanna get a hotel room for a few hours so we could just relax and watch some tv and talk. I was totally OK with it and just as he finishes saying this whole thing, the song 'lets get it on' came on the radio. We died laughing!!! For the record- NOTHING HAPPENED! Well maybe a few smooches but nothing else

so cute...everytime we got in fh's car to go somewhere he would ALWAYS go the wrong way! i thought it was adorable....he still to this day does this sometimes!!!

lol, im not sure i'd call if funny then, but we started dating and FH and I were laying watching TV and I jumped out to get the phone and I farted.... he laughed so hard and said I broke the ice and that meant he could fart whenever he wanted now... it was funny at first, but now I kinda wished he'd stop farting...lol
I was morfied for a very long minute until he laughed... lol

As for the question...the only thing that is coming to mind is when I first realize that FH is a stinky man...we were sitting next to each other on the bed watching TV and I smelled a NASTY fart...and I said 'OMG did you fart?!' and he goes 'Ummm...I AM farting...' I started HYSTERICAL laughing that it smelt so bad I caught it mid-fart.
We still giggle about that today, mostly every time I say 'Did you fart??'

Yes! We went to my sorority formal together and since we didn't know each other that well, he kept buying me this girlie shots. Well, I am not a goood drinker so low and behold I was sick the entire night and wound up getting sick on the bus ride home all over my dress. It stunk at that moment but to this day it is kinda funny because now he knows that I cannot hold my own when it comes to drinking.

When FH and I started dating I cooked dinner for him. My sister was home, so I told her she could eat some of the food. FH wanted salad, but I didn't put tongs in there. My sister said, 'Just take some with your hands.' (There was no dressing on it.) His response -- 'I touch little kids all day.' My sister and I were cracking up. He meant to say 'I teach little kids all day,' but it came out the wrong way. We referred to him as the child molester for a while after that!

my FH is so clumsy so I have a lot of little stories of him being weird. but as for me, I guess the most embarrassing and funny was when on our 3rd date/my bday party I got really really drunk and then took advantage of him. of course the next morning I blamed HIM for taking advantage of ME! I am still very fuzzy on what did exactly happened that nite, he laughs at me all the time for not remembering.

FH got pretty drunk the first time we hung out - mind you, we were hanging out with one of his friends and it wasn't a date or anything...but we had known each other through school for a couple of years and this was the first time he and I had seen each other in a long time. We were in Williamsburg (Bklyn) and he got so trashed that his friend, who was an EMT, drove him to the ambulance company he worked for (near where we were drinking) so he could puke in their bathroom and clean up properly.
He kept doing the drunken 'I'm soooooorrrrry' thing.
Now anytime we head to Williamsburg (which is often) I always ask him if we're going to need to stop at the ambulance place.
We also laugh about how scared he was of my cat when we first started seeing each other...he was just really freaked out by cats - and now he has two of his own! LOL!
