~*~*~*My First QOTD Monday, 3/12/12*~*~*~

Aw the themed questions is such a fun way to get to know everyone's weddings!

Part 1: My favorite flowers are crocuses because they remind me of my mom, and as soon as you see them you know it's spring! I'm not incorporating them into my wedding, though, or any other real flower. I also really like hydrangea bushes because I grew up with a bunch in our yard.

Part 2: FH has never given me flowers because I don't like them. I'm allergic to a lot of flowers, some flowers with really heavy smells remind me of funeral homes, and I like them better in the ground anyway. I hope when we get a house FH gets me a hydrangea bush and some bulbs/seeds.

My florist i had them use all the flowers for my irish wedding and its great b/c most of them are wild flowers but i will have the bells of ireland ...so nice!@


To tell u the truth i really dont remember when the FH give me flowers i know it was roses and i saved one and dried it out and still have it to the day!@ But that is going far back and i cant remember LOL..sorry

1. My favorite flowers are daisies, cherry blossoms, and calla lilies. I plan to have cherry blossoms here and there on cake and all(we're both big into Japanese culture) and I plan to have mini calla lilies in my bouquet and in my center pieces.

2. My FH got me flowers about a month or two after we officially started dating. I had a special event for Girl Scouts I was working on and a ceremony that meant a lot to me our last year in high school. He initially said he couldn't make it and I was pretty bummed. As I was walking out the door with my family to go to the ceremony, he pulled up in front of my house and surprised me with a bouquet of assorted colored daisies. I knew it was love right away.

So I'm late to the party...


My absolute favorite flowers are white roses. There's somethign about pale white roses in full bloom, their delicate fragrance - beautiful and delicate.

The first time I got flowers from FH was on Valentine's Day. I was living in MA, he was in PA. I was in my Pjs/lounge clothing with my favorite boys, Ben-N-Jerry, because I thought FH was caught working in PA.

He called me to ask if he had left a chain he normally wears at my house. He asked me to check a spot, so I left my room to go see if it was there....

There was FH, all dressed up in a suit, with a bouquet of red roses. Okay, so its sterotypical, but its probably the most romantic thing he's done.

It was so sweet :)

I'm actually not a big flower fan. We have fresh lilacs that grow in our backyard... they're pretty nice, lol. But we're not really having flowers except for bouquets at the wedding.

Believe it or not, I don't think he's ever given me flowers. He knows I don't like them! lol

My favorite flowers are Roses and stargazer lilies. I plan to use roses throughout the wedding.

FH was really cute when we started dating. He would leave a single red rose on my car for me when I got out of work. He was so romantic!

The first time we celebrated my birthday, he got me a HUGE arrangement of stargazer lilies.

My fave flower is a stargazer lily. It will be in my bouquet

Until this qotd i hadnt made this connection-- valentines day 2006. A coworker got lilies and roses sent to work. Loving the bouquet i joked i was gonna steal her bf and asked if he had brothers. She said he had 1 that might actually 'work out' for me. Well he wanted nothing to do with me or meeting her friends. 10 days later, at mulchays i met matt and i made the connection that this is the boy my fried wanted to set me up with! All bc i wanted her lilies hahahahha

But im assuming my first flowers were red roses 6 months later for my bday
