My first rant.

The wedding is less than a month away... and these are the things that are stressing me out!!

1. Rsvp's... ***... we spend hours putting invites together and stamping things, not to mention the $$ spent... and these people can't just write a number on a card and drop it in the mail?!? My rsvp date was May 1, and I'm still waiting to hear back from 66 people....

2. Armpit fat. If I had known how much fat they can squeeze out of an underarm just by fitting your wedding dress, I might not have gone strapless.... stupid armpit fat.

3. Makeup. I was supposed to have my makeup trial the same day as hair... the girl didn't show up, and now I've emailed her and haven't heard back. I'm giving it until tomorrow, then I'm going to have to start doing a last minute search for a makeup person... any recommendations??? $$ is an issue... but I want someone good.

4. Moneyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...... I can't wait to not be paying for so much stuff all at once anymore.....


OK that's all I've got I guess it's not too bad... for now. This is the first time I've felt stressed and it's 27 days till 'the big day'... so I guess I'm doing OK.

But I really do hate armpit fat.

Could you have a family memeber or friend that knows some of the people that haven't RSVP'ed to casually mention they really should?

Your big day is coming up though and by then everything will work out.

And apparently I have big shoulders too!! I just never realized it until I put that dress on but that's not really the stuff people notice on your wedding day (I hope!!), and I do love my dress

Thanks! With the rsvp's, I figured I'd give it a week and then start harassing people. Most of the ones we haven't gotten are people FH's parents invited, so I'll let them take care of it. I just hope they come because we're 50 below our minimum at the RH...

And as for the make up, I'll send Tori an email tomorrow night if I don't hear back from this girl by then. Hopefully she (or someone good!!) has an opening... Would you mind FM'ing me with her prices, and let me know if she will come to me on the day of?

LOL you do NOT have armpit fat. I saw your pics, you look great in you dress!

eta: if it makes you feel any better, I had to bring a blank RSVP card to work and corner my boss into filling it out. RSVPs appear to be challenging for people.

I'm sorry you're so stressed. I feel your pain...I'm wearing a strapless dress and I hate armpit fat too. I wish I had the $$ for lipo, LOL...
As far as makeup, I went to Karen Wysoki last week and she's amazing...traditional and airbrush, and she uses MAC makeup for both. I'll FM you her info (she's not a vendor on here). She is very reasonable and she does qty discounts (the more ladies getting their makeup done, the less it costs!!!).
As far as the RSVPs I would have your FH speak to his parents about it and let them handle it. If worse comes to worst and you are under your guarantee, ask the RH to throw something in for you. I've heard of a few brides that did that and their RHs did!!

I remember the arm pit fat fiasco, we all go thru it!

You will get your RSVP's at least most of them, this week compile a list and gather numbers and delagate, delagate, delagate. Split the list of non RSVPers and have FH call his friends and family and you do the same.

Good Luck with the make-up lady, I always rec. Mia from b ridallounge.com, she is the best, but I don't know if she will be available this late, but you can always try

wow only 1 month away!! i think it's totally normal to be feeling stressed!!! how terrible also about your makeup artist!! i would recommend Tina from Wedding Box. I don't think she charges a lot but I've heard girls give her rave reviews on other boards.

I set up a make up trial for this Saturday with Tori, the first one that was suggested above. I'm so relieved that it was so easy to find someone who is available on my day, on such short notice!!

Haha, also, I went and had my dress for my bridal shower hemmed today, and I asked her to use the extra material to let it out a little bit and add straps, so I've eliminated at least one day of armpit fat from my life!!! Now I just have to see how the wedding dress looks when I go for my next fitting...

Only 4 more rsvps today... but we're getting there!
