My florist thinks all the bride's BoKs I like are too simple!!!

My florist thinks all the bride's BoKs I like are too simple!!!

I want to a florist I'm thinking of booking and showed her some pictures of BoK's I liked.
(I'm including a couple bellow.) And she looked at them and said they're TOO SIMPLE! I've never heard a vendor say before that they wanted more work!

I told her I wanted a loose BoK since I'm going for a romantic look (for some reason I have somewhat of a young/innocent look about me and would look ridiculous in anything too gaudy). But now I'm a little worried that she's going to make some gigantic BoK for me (on a stand!) that I'll have to drag around with me everywhere!

(The general shape for the 2nd picture, without the ivy.)

I think they are beautiful, did you tell her that that was your taste?

Sounds like you need to look for another florist! I showed my florist similar things- like the callas.. and other things we talked about- his response was more like- not my taste- but I think it would be beautiful.. Sounds like this florist wants you to maybe spend more money- less simple means more flowers. But, they also don't sound like they 'get' your vision.

first off, I think your BM boo-k's are simple wonderful...I love that understated elegant look. Second, YOU ARE PAYING HER...her opinion is not needed really....

Also...Love the look of the boo-k for you....are you choosing those flowers as well? I went with a loose boo-k too, but not that shape..I did round and I did use ivy for some personal reasons. I can post pics for you if you like, but your florist should not be degrading you and telling you that your choices are not big enough....

She really has no right to tell you what you should or shouldn't have. If that's what you want, then that's what she should do for you. If she's going to give you a hard time, maybe you should look for somebody else who's more concerned about what YOU want.

I couldn't possibly agree more with the other girls, you need a different florist!!!

That woman has a lot of Chutzpah to tell you what you should want on YOUR wedding day. I'll be honest, I chose NOT to go with a particular florist because the woman I met with kept poo-pooing my ideas. My florist took my ideas and ran with them, and everyone LOVED my flowers.

Tell that woman where to put her flowers.

Time to look for a new florist!! I think the bo-k's you are looking at are gorgeous. Who cares what she thinks of them, you are paying her for her service, not her opinion!!!!!!!!!

This is where you say: ME CUSTOMER, YOU NO GET OPINION. Wow, that takes balls to tell someone. That's like telling someone their dress is too simple or their hairstyle is wrong. Now, if she said something like, those flowers don't go together or that style falls apart easily, or something constructive, THEN she'd be doing her job, but that's ridiculous. So sorry

Any vendor that did that to me immediately lost my business. I got that a lot from dj's. I would have said thank you and walked out.

definately talk to the vendor and explain that it is exactly how you want it. Perhaps she was just trying to help you. I think they are beautiful!

You can tell her that you really like the way that looks, and that is exactly what you want.
I am sure they'll agree to accomodate you.
