my 'flower friday' experience
ok, so yesterday we went to 3 florists and looked for flowers (it wasn't too bad and we learned so much about flowers!)....and were somewhat disappointed by the first two - their pirces were much more expensive and the guy at one didn't even give us the written out quote (is this common?) - he gave us a total amount but didn't break it down...weird!
then we went to north shore floral in woodbury and he was nice....much better bargain but i haven't seen any postings on here about them - anyone have any comments - good or bad??
it was hard b/c yesterday was fh's mom's bday - her first one she wasn't here for and the florists kept asking about flowers for the mother of the bride..which we both could have done without (kinda poor planning on our part to do this on that day!)
we still have so much to do but at least we feel like we accomplished a little - we kinda know what we want now.....
does anyone know approx how much the following should cost (so we can see if the quotes are fair)?
1 bridal bok
throw away bok
1 moh bok
5 bm bok's
1 flower girl kissing ball or bok
1 groom buttoneir (sp?)
6 best man/usher buttoneirs
2 father buttoneirs
3 mother/godmother corsages
2 church baskets
2 roses for sign of peace at church
20 tall centerpieces with votives
i think that was all - got quotes for 2800 - 3200 bt we were hoping to spend less - is it possible??
