So....I have been having centerpiece problems since I started planning my wedding. I started with 1 florist and he was totally off base as to what I wanted and when I saw my 2nd sample it was ugly, to put it nicely. So we decided to change florists and go with Pedestals, who have been better than great by the way. The problem is me, I have no idea what I want. I started off wanted different shades of pink hydrangeas and roses. We went to see the sample yesterday and FH didn't like it. He said it looked like a Sweet 16 or baby's party. And after seeing it all together I kind of agreed, so now we are at square 1 again with 6 weeks to go. The problem is my dress is such an odd shade, they call it raspberry, that it can go nicely with pinks and purples, so now we are going to mix them up and Pedestals is generous enough to do a 3rd sample for me. Marcella is the best!!!! I just want the flowers to be perfect. We are spending alot of money on them and I want to be happy with them the day of. I am just so confused as to what I want.

You may want to consider using some green hydrangeas as well, it would look great with pinks and purples.

It's best not to go overboard with the pinks. You can always add in white or ivory. Many colors can go with that dress. Even greens and blues.

You know its funny how different everyones views are about what they want. I would have suggested choosing a color that compliments rather than matches, like for the BM whites and greens, with some purple hued flowers, or even some unexpected color like peach or yellow.
Try not to limit yourself to Matching those dresses, the loveliest pictures often dont have fkowers that are the same becasue they often blend too much!

I went to a wedding last weekend and the flowers looked great - she used light shades of pinks, peaches, orange, greens, white and ivory.
