I went to see a sample from my florist this weekend. I wanted to see what you guys think of this centerpeice. I was a little dissapointed with it because I wanted something fuller with less green but they charge by flower so this is what they gave me in my price range. Is this worth $125 a table?
This is basically my dream centerpiece. I think they're SO much more elegant tall like this, but there's no way I can afford it...:( If you can afford, I say go for it!

Re: My Flowers - Is this worth it??
when i went to my florist, i asked them to give me a price range for how much it would cost for something like that. a majority of the cost depends on how much the holder is. the flowers you can always play with, do they have any price options for different holders?
i think its a good price but thats only based on one florists quote for something. it is beautiful!!!

Most places, the starting price i saw for high cp's were about $125 so seems about right. If you have a problem with the green or anything else then let them know. That is the whole point of seeing a sample, you tell them what you like and what you dont like and to make any changes you want.

that seems just about right, if u look in my album I have pics of my sample centerpiece worth $175, I thought it was small so in order to have the size I want, I'm paying $225 a centerpiece.
Our CPs are almost identical.

if you have the $$ go for it but I personally couldn't bear to spend that much money on something that is going to die in a few days, my parents said they would pay for them but I said no lol- it's just ridiculous
it is beautiful though

That is about average for a High Centerpiece. Ask about other filler flowers instead of the greenery. I can't make out all of the flowers - but if you have expensive flowers in there that will drive up the cost.

I think it looks really pretty. If you want less greenery ask to use hydrangeas which are low cost and huge so they make a great filler. I am using hydrangeas in my cp's.

For a high centerpiece I think it's worth it. I think it's very pretty. Go for it!
Plus, I dont think it has that much filler/greenery. The first thing I noticed were all the pretty flowers.

Thanks!! I do love it. Maybe I can find filler I like more. I have roses and hydrangea in there now and adding any more would really drive up the price fast. I wanted peonies but those are about $10 a stem. The hydrangea is $5 a stem and the roses are $3. If I add 10 more roses that’s about $500 more in total (for 15 tables). I think its crazy they charge by flower but what can you do.

what if you take out some of the hydrangeas you currently have in the cp and add more roses, this should help with the price since you are taking out flowres that cost a little more and in its place putting a flower that costs less. From the pic you posted, seems like its mostly hydrangeas and just a few roses so thats why its bring up the price. A few hydrangeas can go a long way and if the rest is filled with roses it will still look beautiful

Ask for the pricing of the garden roses, they told me that the garden roses open up alot more than regular roses and they fill up more space....I have some in my CP.

I did hear Flowers by Burton is amazing and will do anything you want and all flowers cost the same..like it doesnt matter what flower you want..

i think its very pretty but i happen to be a low center piece girl (because we are having sooo many tables that i cant afford tall ones!) but i understand what your saying ... you are paying so much they should be full and huge ... soo if you dont feel like its worth the money i think you should be honest with your florist and see what your options are.

Where are these from? I think it's a fantastic price for the cp! Sometimes it's better to pay by flower. I'm paying for the overall look and sometimes i regret not going someplace that charged by cheaper flowers!
