My FMIL invited a baby to my wedding!

My FMIL invited a baby to my wedding!

Not exactly....but here's the story:

My FMIL was kind enough to hand address all our invites. We were stuffing them over the weekend, and I noticed for one of the OOT invites she wrote the couple's name and their 2 year old daughter's name underneath. I asked her about it and she said that since they weren't coming (it's her sister and she'll be too pregnant to fly in for the wedding) she thought it would be nice to include the entire family on the invite.

I am worried that somehow other guests will find out and assume that they can bring their babies! I don't think it's too likely that anyone will call up this specific person and say 'Hey, do you know if kids are invited?' but the thought has crossed my mind. I am worried, and also a bit ticked off at my FMIL for assuming that this was ok to do. FH is angry about it too....

Do you think I have anything to be worried about?

I don't think so........ People are usually smart enough to know that whoever is on the invite is the only one invited.
I too would be ticked off if my mother or FMIL did the same thing but i'm sure she didn't mean it in a bad way.

Good luck!

Would you be able to make another envelope yourself? I would discreetly do it without having to start a fight or anything. Im glad you caught the mistake before you sent them out! Whew!!

No....my FMIL did not see it as such a big deal, so I figured she was right and we mailed them! I really hope nothing will come of it!

I wouldn't worry about it, I am sure it will be fine.
