So we call her today for mother's day and all she can say to me is to change the time of the cocktail hour. SHE wants it earlier and thinks we are awful for doing that to our guests. Mind you SHE wanted it to be over by 9 pm! I DON'T THINK SO! If she wants to leave early- fine!
Now we are adults, we choose an evening wedding and I am making arrangements to have a small gathering for OTT guests at my mom's in the time between the ceremony and reception. It's only a couple of hours MAX! I am sorry if I want an evening wedding and don't want to be taking pictures the whole time. She is such a witch! Like I am going to resend 85 invitations to accomodate what she wants! GRRRR>>>> Thanks for letting me vent!

You want a FIL story? My mom finally got a dress this weekend. So today she called up FMIL to let her know and asks if she's found anything yet. FMIL replies that she hasn't even looked and she is thinking about wearing a sweater and slacks. HELLO....SAT NIGHT WEDDING....MOTHER OF THE GROOM....! Can I cut her out of the pictures?

she keeps complaining that her dog will be lonely if shes gone all night. says she willleave by 9:30 ...i dont think dinner will even be served by then!

I think that its the FMIL job to be troublesome. Mine refuses to look for a dress...because she wants to lose more weight....she says this as she is stuffing her 3rd piece of cheese cake in her mouth yesterday.

my FMIL is definitely a troublemaker .. i know she was against this right from the start (she's not happy unless theres drama and will make her own if theres nothing going on.) now she's using the fact that we're having no kids as a reason not to come!! so what if her 5 yr old granddaughter can't come!! get a grip! he's your son!!

Oh, that was last month- she told me she is wearing off-white-HUH? palatazzo pants and a mauve top! Off-white- hmmm, my dress is diamond white and Mauve-hmmm, my sister is wearing purple! OH and pants!Come on!

I feel your pain. My FMIL has had something to say about everything but the one thing she complains about the most is what to do with her 2 dogs!
