My FMIL strikes again!! AND AGAIN!! Please help!!

She is literally certifiable!! WE asked her one simple f'n favor and now it is like we asked her to climb Mt Everest.
We told her to come over while the painters are here. She asked for a set of keys...I replied, 'He will be here when you get here.'
Once again she wants a set of keys to lock up. I said, 'I will be home before you leave.'
Third and final time she asks for a set of keys she says, 'Why can't I have a set of keys? Do you hate me?'

Last time I lent FMIL my set of keys it was gone for 2 months. I had to buzz neighbors to get in and sit in the hall for an hour. Or take a cab all the way to bayville for keys.

Is getting married really worth this?? I think I would be happier as a hermit and not having to her anymore!!

UPDATED: So the woman send me an IM, she tells me to add FBIL to my buddy's. I explain he is on my list but he is not on. She continues by asking me what my SN is. At this point I got snippy!! I replied, 'YOU AIM'ed ME'.
She tells me I have an attitude problem. Well, duh...you ask a stupid question you are gonna get a snippy answer.
Again she asks me, this time i type it out in caps for her. She tells me again to add him to my list. I of course say, I already did.
Not to mention this is the 2nd time today she tried to play me for a fool. Sorry sista, not happening!!!
So I show FH the IM and he says that I started it. BS, I am sick and tired of these certifiable morons and I refuse to speak to any of them anymore...including FH, until he snaps out of his dilusion!! Screw them, I don't need this crap. I would much rather be alone and be a hermit. VENT OVER!! PFFFT

I swear that his family has horns and tails...how can they not?? And the fact that they blame me...I don't think so. I have started to open my mouth to FH more frequently b/c I am not gonna take it. Why??

Mine is always nice as pie to my face...then then she will call my FH to complain about crap...And when she complains about the wedding gets on my nerves the most...since she hasn't offered her time or energy to help

Duh, that's what I thought at first...but they are evil. I am talking to FH on AIM in LIW lingo, lol. woops. at least i have decided to talk to him!

I should be lucky then. My future in laws love that I make there son so happy.

It's too bad you have to go through this, but I can relate in my own way. My FBIL's fiance is nothing but rotten. She planned a trip around being away for my bridal shower. My bparty is this weekend and I'm going to Newport with my friends. Needless to say, noone invited her and she's apparently hurt/insulted/I don't even know what, that she wasn't invited. Um helloooo, she told my sister she didn't want to go to my shower because my friends don't like her, so why on Earth would she want to go away for the weekend with my friends?! She also told FBIL that my mother said 'well your opinion doesn't matter here' when they were at my house for a party. My mother would never in a million years say something like that! No offense, but if you are not happy with your FH or his Family, maybe getting married is not a good idea. Honestly, your FH has been with his family Forever, and talking bad about his family is only going to make you guys drift apart. He is in a hard spot: stuck between his wife to be and his family. I would try to think twice before complaining about her.

Of course it's not, I think all she meant was that you have to think about the future and things could get very difficult for everyone involved if things get worse. I know that my FH and FBIL's relationship has been affected by me and FBIL's fiance not getting along and I feel very bad about it. We're all actually supposed to sit down and talk about things and see what we can do to improve them. Quite frankly, I could care less about being friendly towards her, but for FH sake I will at least try.

I completely agree with you October Bride , I mean If you can't talk to your husband or your future husband maturely about his/her family then what kind of communication is that??? I vent all the time about his family and that by no way means I should reconsider MARRIAGE to him.... that is plain ridiculous.

Shes just venting - its sounds worse than it is. I complain about my FMIL to death!!! I make fun of her, she drives me insane, she even drives me to drink, but when it all boils down to it, I love her.

I am so happy I have oct & hb!! I was going to open my truck driver mouth...but I decided against it.
I slept on it instead, lol. I am still mad at those future in-law ppl. But, I had a talk with FH about it. He said he will tell them to stop bothering me b/c I don't understand their sense of humor. Which is a polite way of saying it and I can handle that!! Time to work!
