what can i bring to the hospital...?

I'm so excited b/c she's the first of my friends to have a baby...!

check with the hospital, some dont allow or only allow one or two floral etc... items
maybe a floral baby basket or a basket from BRU with all lotions and stuff and a teddy bear

What did she have? What did she name it? Details please.... The first baby amongst friends is like the first baby in a family. Lots of excitement and attention. Congrats.

Did you want to bring something for the baby or her? I'm assuming you want to bring something small because you'll be lavishing more gifts at home later. You can bring a really soft really cute stuffed animal. Also they sell at BRU and I think Party City, disposible cameras with 'It's a boy' or 'It's a girl' right on the pictures as a border. My SIL brought me a box of chocolates when I was in the hospital after Luke. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that. Or maybe see if she wants a special treat, my brother brought me a milkshake.

I've also brought a handprint kit (also at BRU) and balloons. I wouldnt bring anything too big or expensive b/c they have to get everything home.
