my friend is really pissed at me

we went out on saturday, with a bunch of people that she knows really well, it was a friends birthday, well, i guess i acted like an a$$. maybe i complained too much about how people were unfriendly...i don't know what made me do this, maybe i was just in a cranky mood...but then the kicker was that i told her her old hair cut was manly...OMG i'm an idiot. i seriously don't have any idea what to do. we've never even been close to having a fight, and here i am completely in the wrong and a big jerk and i don't know what to do. thanks for listening, i'm just so upset right now i can't even concentrate. i left a message on her machine that was a little wierd, only because i wasn't sure what to say. aghghghhhh. sorry, i just need to get this off my chest...lets hope she accepts my appology...ugh

were you intoxicated at the time?

if it's any consolation...i was supposed to go out for my friends birthday friday night and my FH's cousins bachelorette party saturday night...i skipped both and so far, there does not seem to be any terrible reprocussions or hard feelings...(just thinking maybe it will be the same for you??? sometimes you have nothing to fear but fear itself, ya know?!)

don't be so hard on yourself...

if she's a true friend, she'll understand that everyone is entitled to a crappy mood and a complaining session!

you sound like me. I cant stand when anyone- especeially one of my friends- is mad at me. But I would apologize once again. Tell her how important your friendship is to you, send her a card or something and drop it. A good friend wont take advantage of the situation or drag you through the mud. Remember, to err is human- to forgive is divine. And lastly, cut yourself a break. You are only human and make some mistakes.

thanks everybody! she emailed me and just said she was suprised at the comment i made and the complaining...i was honestly as suprised about those things myself. i mean, do you ever feel like an alien has taken over your mouth and words that aren't yours start flying out? well that was saturday for me. she says she is over it, so i am going to try to put this behind me...although my stomach is still all tied up in knots, i'm just going to keep my mouth shut for a while in case the alien is still in there...

I'm glad it worked out. A genuine, heartfelt apology can work wonders. I'm sure she understands that what happened was just an aberration.
