My 'friend' just called......
She left a message on my cell phone and she said she's not coming to the wedding - which is 10 days away!! Not only did we already pay for her and her boyfriend... BUT she said she '...can't get off work...' However, she told me WEEKS ago she had gotten off work for the day already. So now I don't know what to say. I'm a little disappointed.

I'm sorry you have to deal with this stress 10 days before your wedding! People can be so inconsiderate sometimes! No matter what, you'll have a wonderful day - with or without her!

I agree. Think of all the people that are making an effort to be there for your big day. It will be great!

im sorry she is doing this too you ... maybe you should try talking to her a little later when your emotions are more in order and talk to her and just mention to her..'well i thought you told me that you had been able to take the day off'.. and see how it goes from there.

that stinks that she did that to you-having to pay for people who dont show up is so annoying- but also, I bet you really just wanted her to be there You should tell her that you are upset and talk to her about it

I'm sorry.
My cousin sent me an email today saying she can't make it because she can't get time off work (my wedding is in 3 days!!). Also, my FG cancelled 1 month before the wedding! I think the only person you can count on when it comes to wedding is your FH. Everything else is subjective.
