For those of you who might be interested, I decided to post my friend's wedding dress. The bride and groom are from Turkey. The groom and I have been penpals since '97 and we now keep in touch through Facebook (no more waiting 2 months for a letter in the mail!). I became friends with the bride and she shared some pics with me. I left their faces out for privacy. Personally, I think the dress is beautiful.
I really like her dress, I love little splashes of color.

I knew someone whose husband was Turkish and she got married over there.... she said that traditionally brides wore a red ribbon around their waist to symbolize their virginity- I wonder if the flowers on the dress were her version of that?
