My full review of my 3/27/04 wedding..
We haven't gone on our honeymoon yet so that is the only thing that will be missing from this we are leaving Sunday for our cruise. Adventurer of the Seas Royal Carribbean from San Juan..
Hair- My hair as well as my mother's and 5 of the girls hair was done at my hair salon Axel in Glendale.. I received compliments on it all night and it stayed in perfectly all day..
MAkeup- A++++++++
OKSANA I LOVE YOU!!! she did such a great job.. she was at my house so early and was so patient she did makeup for 7 of us.. She is such a great person to deal with.. my makeup was on all day and night... I would book her no questions asked anytime...
Queens Bridal Center - A
They did my invites, limos, video, flowers and photography. The limos were from Dynasty actually that is who QBC deals with.. They did an excellent job. We had the RR and the BP had an Excursion. The drivers were great.. we also had an 8 pass for the parents and a late night limo that picked us up from Verdis after the reception.. The cars were clean, and stocked w/ stuff and the drivers were really helpful to calm me when it was just me standing there waiting in church to walk down..
The photographer was a man named Bill and his wife Angie. They were an older couple who had a lot of experience and knew what they were doing. We went to the gazebo in Garden City after church to take pics and he was so funny.. His motto for the day was 'happy' and he said this before like every picture that we were hysterical the first few times he was so funny.
Video was done, and he was great as well.
The flowers were done by Charles Florals in Astoria. The centerpieces were gorgeous and so were the bouquets.. People took them home after the DJ played a game w/ the guests for them which everyone seemed to like.
DJ- A+ IN THE MIX
They did a great job.. everyone was dancing and we received compliments all night on them. They played a lot of different music and if a song was requested it was put on.. They did a lot of extra things too( we payed for)like the photo montage and snapped pics all night on a digital camera and they were on the screen afterwards .. people seemed to like seeing themselves up there.. They also did my CD favors which people liked too. They thought it was a cute idea and they came out really well.
I would definetly reccommend them.. they are great to deal with and they were great motivaters as well..
VERDIS OF WESTBURY- A++++++
I LOVE THIS PLACE... the food is to die for. if you know Italian food this place is it. My bridal attendant that night was constanly making sure we had everything we wanted .. i wasn't finished drinking my drink and a new one was brought to me without asking. The Maitre'D was excellent as well. It was a bit warm in there I thought and my BA was bringing me ice cold towels as I came off the dance floor. I would have another party there ina heartbeat. The Vienesse hour was amazing ..people are crazy!!!!!! like they never saw choc. covered strawberries before..LOL Verdi throws a great party....
My dress was from Davids Bridal...I never had any problems with them at all. I dealt with the one in Long Island City Queens. Everyone loved it.. my bustle was a bit annoying though.. everyone was stepping on my dress and it kept falling down. not a problem though thanks to JILLNBRAD and my other BM'S...
The girls got their dresses at Lestan Fashion Headquarters in Brooklyn. SOme of the girls said that the seamstress was a little slow though so I dont know.. but they looked beautiful.. all of them.
Guys got there tuxes at Mens warehouse. The good thing was we had out of town people and they could go to any location and pickup or drop off whereever they wanted too .. this was a plus.
DID I FORGET ANYTHING??
It was so strange there was no problems that day.. only that my cake topper was to heavy and would not sit on my cake without falling over. So they sat it in front of the cake instead..
It was definitely the best day of my life. It went so fast though and I cant believe all the planning is over.. We all had a great time and I am now a MRS...
