my gift for FH is ready! woohoo! (w/ pics) sorry, fixed now!
I'm so psyched... my gift for fh is ready and done, and the last piece of it is on it's way.
He's really hard on his rings, and he's been worried that he'll either lose or destroy his wedding ring in a matter of days, so for his gift I decided to get him three 'substitute' rings to wear everyday when he's working, biking, windsurfing, and doing other various activities that can be ring - destructive.
I chose each of the three to be something that will be meaningful to him, either because of the inscription inside or the ring itself or both.
The first is an Irish claddaugh ring, as fh is Irish, and gave me a claddaugh ring as a promise ring years ago when we were first going out.
The second is a simple hammered finish outside, but inside has our initials and reads 'always and forever'
The third (which I had custom made and just got the notice is done and on its way in the mail) is made of sterling silver on the inside and amboyna burl wood on the outside... we're both environmentalists and nature-focused people, so wood rings really appeal to both of us. It has our initials and wedding date inscribed inside. I got myself a matching one in copper and purpleheart wood for my right hand that reads 'always' on the inside.
woohoo! I'm so excited for the last of the three to arrive! I know it's nothing as fancy as the plasma screens and such you ladies are getting your guys, but they mean a lot to me![]()
