FH is from Gdansk, Poland. His family moved here when he was 13. He goes by Kris but Krzysztof is pronounced Kshishtoff. It took me years too learn how to spell it and say it. I call him Kris.

I think we are going to ask a few of his family members to do readings in Polish (the same ones we do in English, so everyone can understand) and at the reception, our parents will present us with the bread,wine, salt blessing. I have to ask his mom about others she might want.

xjulietx, my friend's brother in law is named Krzysztof and is from Gdansk, Poland too! That is a strange coincidence! Our Kris came to the US recently though. Our friends live in Babylon. Where is your Kris living? I told my friend about this coincidence and he is so surprised! He's wondering if he knows your Kris!

My family is from Poland, but has been here for generations, and we encorporated a Polish tradition into our wedding...the bread, salt, and wine at the beginning of the reception.
