As fate would have it, I was driving down a busy street after work yesterday. On the side of the street, I saw a very confused and scared doggy trying to cross this major road. I stopped a few feet in front of him and was cautious not to touch him. I knew if I left him there, he was going to get hit. So I called him over and coaxed him into my car. He was a small/medium sized dog. Not sure what breed, but it was definitely a terrier. He was white and curly with big soft brown spots on him. Now people are honking at me, so I quickly jumped into the drivers seat and drove on. The dog was well behaved and just sat there in the seat. I drove to the nearby neighborhood and pulled over. I noticed the dog had his tags on, but again I was cautious in touching him, because you never know if they'll bite. Anyway, i went to read his label and he rushed up on my lap and started licking my face. Whew!!! I saw his name was buddy (same name as my fish that just passed away) and it clearly stated his address. So I started to drive around this unfamiliar neighborhood and FINALLY found his address. A young girl answered the door and I felt like such an a$$ because I didnt know what to say. I told her I was driving on marcus avenue and I found this dog. She looked at my car, and screamed that buddy was her dog. She was shaking like a leaf. She told me he likes to stay outside, but that the landscapers had just left and they probably left the gate open. I went to pet the dog under his mouth and again he licked my hands. She thanked me profusely, but I told her it wasnt necessary. I was so happy he was home and that he was fortunate enough not to have gotten hit. So that's my good deed for the day!
I found out what kind of dog he is Im pretty sure he was a fox wire terrier

You deserve a pat on the back for your awesome deed. More people should be like you. It's a wonderful feeling to do things like this. I once rescued a dog too and just seeing the family's expression of happiness and relief was enough for me.
Thank you for your kindness. I'm a crazy animal lover myself !!!
