My gradfather, my father's dad past away today in St. Petersburg, Russia. Even though our worldviews and life styles have not been in tune over the past decade and geographical barriers prevented us from seeing each other, I always remembered him as one of the most prominent figures of my childhood and a great influence in my life. He was the one who taught me how to read and appreciate good books; he took me to art museums and to museum of natural history, which started my interest in arts and never ending fascination with world history. He taught me how to ride a bike. He formed a of interests that I persue till this day and helped me start on many hobbies that I still enjoy. I know that a lot of who I am today is because of him! Please think a kind thought in his memory! Thank you!
