Re: my greek girls!
not a greek, but my mom and dad wear theirs on their right hand. they say its the way Russian Christian Orthodox do it and as they lived there they took some of their traditions

Re: my greek girls!
I'm not Greek, but I'm pretty sure that some cultures wear it on the left b/c the veins in the left hand are supposedly directly connected right to the heart. But in other cultures, they go to the Latin word for left, which is 'sinistra' (or the English sinister) so they don't wear on it on the left b/c it's associated with evil.
Hope that somewhat answers lol

The Armenians that I know wear the engagement ring on the right hand until they're married, then they switch it to the left. I don't know the rhyme or reason behind it...
I'm marrying an armenian, but I'm Italian, so it's on my left... (Plus, FH wanted it on my let hand so that people knew what it was... not just a 'nice ring'

Re: my greek girls!
Usually you wear on it on the right hand because that was always the more dominant hand, I know during the Greek ceremony we wear it on the right hand... B/c in America you wear it on the left, most people --greeks too will also switch it to the left hand after the ceremony..
