My hair dilemma.

My hair dilemma.

I went for my hair trial over the weekend. First, I want to say that I am not a fan of updo's, at least not for myself. Rather than have a tiara with an updo and the veil come out of the back of the updo, I opted to get more of a headband type thingy with a poofy, finger-tip length veil that I can wear on top of my head. When I went to get my trial, I had the girl curl my hair and just pull the sides back so that way I would just have the headband and veil on top of my head. During the reception, I plan to take the veil off so I can just have the lovely, sparkly headband. I have really soft hair, so curls do not hold well. I got my trial at 9 AM on Sat... by 11 AM, my hair looked like I had been attacked by lions. It was half straight, half wavy, and just nasty because of all the hair spray. My FMIL suggested that I just wear my hair down and straight on the day... maybe even curled up at the ends. I thought this might be a good idea, as my hair always looks best after the beautician blows it out and styles it plain. Do you guys think this is a good idea? I don't want to look 'under-done' I have a fairly fancy dress with a cathedral length train and gloves over the elbow, so I figured that if I left my hair plain, it would look okay. I just can't stand over-the-top hair. What do you all think?

Listen to your FMIL. She knows you and your hair. We don't.

You do not want to look like you've been attacked my lions LMAO!!!! Then you just wouldn't look like you...and you don't want that either.

I think you should go with your FMIL's advice. Or try something else one more time and if you still don't like it, I'd say go for the sparkling band with your hair down. It's a good look!!!!

I love the look where the hair is pin straight and a tiny bit is pulled back at the top...here is an example, however I had seen one i liked even more but can't find now. Dont know if you like it, but i think it looks elegant :)
